Theres a full PSU shroud and I removed the 3.5 hdd caddies to stash the cables but things could get tight if you keep the. Theres a large cut out at the back for ease of access to fit the cpu cooler back plate and cable managements was straighforward. I used a standard ATX Board which fit well. Everything is easy to access to clean with filters, and easy to remove front panel and a magnetic mesh on the top. The case is solid and designed for airflow. The fans and node alone are worth about fifty notes, if thats your bag. The case is very well made and prefitted you get 3 RGB fans and an Icue node to control them. However, that said I would pay full price for it as it has been a joy to build in. I bought this case when it was forty two notes and for me that represented tremendous value. CORSAIR ICUE 220T INSTALL
I've pre-installed all this prior to building as I'm waiting on the Motherboard coming from America, I would normally do this after Motherboard Install but I feel I will have enough room to just slot the board in when it arrives.įor under £115 for the case and the new fans with RGB controller its a no brainer, I hope this detailed build info helps you make you choice when deciding on a new case. Memory, and the board itself.įinally I bought a 2 pack of 4 pin PWM fan head splitters as the board I will be using does have 6 PWM fan headers including 1 CPU and OPT-CPU header but the 2 x 240mm AIO fans have short cables, so this make using the PWM headers on the Motherboard a lot easier to manage and cable management will also be easier. So I will have a push pull configuration and the front of the case and 3 exhaust fans 1 rear and 2 top, this will be positive pressure and will be super cool, plenty of cool air coming front the front of the case over the GPU.
Now moving the original case fans from the inside to the outside can be done its a little tight and had to remove the dust filter to make the front panel fit snuggly but it fits fine, and you going to get dust over time regardless of any filters fitted to the case. I had a spare Corsair 240mm RGB AIO cooler but it is a 240mm radiator with 240mm fans, which wont fit at the top of the case, so I've moved the original front case fans from the inside of the case to the outside of the case and fitted the AIO on the inside it took a bit of figuring out to mount the AIO on the inside but there are elongated holes to screw the AIO there on the inside. The built in controller on the back with only fit the case fans from the front of the case, so if your adding more fans get the same ones, however I got the Corsair LL120 elite fans in white if you buy the 3 pack it comes with the included RGB controller so you can add another 3 fans to the same hub and remove the controller that came with the case.
